Reminder : Band Booster Meeting TONIGHT – 12/4/2017

A reminder that there is a Band Booster meeting tonight in the Band Room @ 7.

Cash Bash tickets are available for pick up at the meeting. Parents are the only ones permitted to pick up and sell tickets.

Also, Carol-Lynn Dubovi will have photos for the senior scrapbooks, and Patty Colorito set up a Google photo account for us to download and share photos from any of the 5 years the Seniors have been in Band. So if you have any senior band photos from any of the years our children have been in band, please feel free to upload, download and share. The account is Seniorbandscrapbook@gmail  , Password is freedom*bulldogs  .

One final note to the senior parents: David McKenna is working on the band video for this year and is in need of a baby photos for the senior section. He will be sending out an email to them asking for one, but I just wanted to get the word out there.

 

Reminder: Yard Sale – THIS WEEK! and Candy/Candle Orders

Yard Sale

Hope you are almost set and ready to sell for Saturday!!
Just wanted to point out a few things….
-We will be at school Friday from 6PM to 9PM in the High School Cafeteria.  This is the time where you can bring and unpack your stuff.  Please make sure they’re tagged with your # that was assigned to you along with your own price.  But if you are unable to make it Friday evening, we will be at the school Saturday 8 AM where you can also then come in…but please have everything all in/setup by 8:30 AM Saturday.
-Baked goods can be brought in Friday evening if you are not able to come in Saturday.  Make sure you have your # and prices on them if you want to earn your profits.
-Just a friendly reminder:  Nothing is less than .25 cents.
NOTE: There is a mistake on the guidelines – if you bring in baked goods, 100% profit goes to your student accounts, not the boosters.
–Lastly – I will need a few more volunteers to help Saturday.  If you are able to, that’d be greatly appreciated!!  I also need some students who can come and help with giving out the bags & guiding people to where to go when they come in.

All Anderson’s Candy and Yankee Candle orders are due on TUESDAY, November 21st (by the end of the school day) in the Band Room mailboxes (HS & MS). All profits earned will go into individual student accounts. If you need an order form, they can be found in the Band Room door pocket.

Week #12 – Veteran’s Day Parade – Saturday

Veteran’s Day Parade – Beaver, PA  11/11/2017

  • Arrive : 8:30 am
  • Block : 8:50 am
  • Leave : 9:00 am
  • Arrive in Beaver :  9:20 am

Remember to dress warm in layers (and make sure they don’t show outside of your uniform), as it will be cold.

  • Arrive at School by : 4:45 pm
  • Block Band : 5:10 pm
  • Leave School : 5:15 pm
  • Arrive: 6:40 pm

Next Boosters Meeting will be on November 6th at 7:00 pm. – Senior scrapbooks will be handed out to Senior parents.

New Band Parents are strongly encouraged to attend to learn how our organization works and to find out about events that are coming up that are new to you! It is the perfect time for you to ask questions and we would love for you to join us.

Senior Scrapbooks (Senior Parents!)

Scrapbooks and a few supplies will be handed out to all Senior parents at the November 6th Booster Meeting (7:00 pm). Completed scrapbooks will be handed out at the Band Banquet (February 17, 2108). Please plan to attend the meeting for more information and to receive your items!

Reminders for Tonight – Senior Night / Football vs. North Catholic – October 27th

Friday Night Football vs. North Catholic – Senior Night (Home)

Senior Pizza Dinner at Napoli’s Pizza : 3:30 pm.

Seniors – make sure you bring your photo order form tonight if you would like to order photos from Mary White!

Band Members: Please remember to go to the Middle School to get dressed tonight, not the High School (due to the Haunted High School event tonight).

  • Arrive at Middle School by : 6:00 pm

Band Members will have to dress in a costume (sometimes themed by section – please see you Section Leader for information), but must be able to still play their instruments! Can’t wait to see all of the great costumes…

Dinner (Picnic) @ 3:30 pm

Due to the fact that there are only a few hours in between events, there will be a small picnic at 3:30 pm so that the kids can eat. KK will provide pizza and the Band Boosters will provide hot dogs. We would appreciate any donations you can provide for the kid’s picnic (desserts, chips, drinks, etc.) and we also need helpers to get the picnic ready and serve. Thank you!



Saturday Night Football vs. South Side (Homecoming)

Your next opportunity to earn money for your individual accounts is here!  We began sales of J&J hoagies and Gourmet Creations dips on Sept 21, 2017.  Look for more info, as well as order forms, on band website and on the door of the Band Room. Orders are due October 6th.
